Walworth County is bounded by Whitewater in the NW, Mukwonago in the NE, Genoa City in the SE, and Sharon in the SW.  Area lakes are a key draw for tourists and homeowners and include Whitewater Lake, Lauderdale Lakes, Lake Beulah, Delavan Lake, Lake Como, Geneva Lake, and many other smaller lakes and streams.

Pockets of extreme wealth are clustered around the lakes but outside the lakefront homes, farms and country estates many residents live day to day and need help.

The population is fairly steady at about 102,000 residents and the county levies about $60.5 million for county services.

​

Unfortunately, the County budget allocates less than $50,000 to community organizations such as the Walworth County Alliance for Children $1550, and $28,000 for the Association for the Prevention of Family Violence.  

​

The need for the Walworth County Community Foundation is real and needed now more than ever.
